Job Description:
•Technical responsibilities will include water supply planning, water resources modeling, historical consumptive use analyses, water rights evaluations and analyses, raw water master plans, water efficiency plans, water operations and accounting, expert testimony in water court, and writing technical memos and reports. •Management of projects, budgets, and quality control. •Coordination and communication with other staff, attorneys, and clients. •Senior staff will be responsible for mentoring and training junior staff in technical, communication, and management skills, in addition to fostering a supportive growth environment.
Experience Required:
•2-10+ years of experience working in the water resources field. •Some knowledge of Colorado water rights and water supply planning and/or water supply modeling is required. •Applicants should be adept in excel, Geographical Information Systems, and have good technical writing skills. Experience in VBA is a plus. •Good written and verbal communication skills. •Open to career growth and training. •The ability to build relationships with clients and others at M&W, promote a team environment, be a self-starter, and ability to prioritize workload and projects for yourself and others is essential. •A master’s degree is preferred but not required. •A professional engineer license or professional hydrologist license or being on a career track to obtain a license is preferred. •Starting salary will range from $75,000 to $130,000 per year. Salary is based on the experience and qualifications of the applicant.
