The Professionals Outreach, Networking and Development (POND) Committee events are about meeting new people and building strong professional partnerships. The POND Committee plans various events throughout the year, giving POND members the opportunity to regularly connect - and have fun!

POND 4th Annual Rockies Game

Pre-game Networking Event: 4:30 pm
Join us for an exclusive beer tasting with Keith Villa, Head Brew Master and Founder of the Blue Moon Brewing Company®. Molson Coors will welcome a group of 50 POND attendees to its Downtown Denver offices to learn about and experience Colorado brewing at its best. Ben Moline, Manager of Water Resources and Environmental Compliance, will also discuss MCBC's water conservation practices at their global brewing locations.
First Pitch: 6:40 pm
After the tasting, we will head to the Coors Field to cheer on the Colorado Rockies as they play the St. Louis Cardinals.

Runoff Runoff

The Rio Grande Headwaters Restoration Project and the Willow Creek Reclamation Committee will host the first annual Runoff Runoff marathon, half marathon, and 6K along the Rio Grande this year. Following the races, there will be family-friendly celebration at the Creede Ball Park, complete with silent auction, raffle, food vendors, live music, and local beer.

Henderson Mine Tour

8:30am to 1:30pm (Tour will run 9:00am-1:00pm)

Join POND as we build an important industry connection on a tour of the Henderson Mine in Empire, CO. In operation since 1976, Henderson has produced more than 200 million tons of ore and over a billion pounds of molybdenum during the past 36 years. As we explore the mine on an underground tour, we will see and hear first-hand how water is used in the mining and milling process and gain a comprehensive understanding of Climax Molybdenum's water rights.
Pre-tour coffee and donuts, and post-tour lunch, will be provided. You are responsible for your own transportation. Carpooling is encouraged.
