Reflecting on the progress of our E-470 Central Maintenance Facility, it's incredible to see how far we've come in just one year! Since breaking ground early last year, this sprawling 13-acre campus is really coming to life. Features include a 20,557 SF fleet maintenance building with three drive-through service bays, a truck wash bay, and an office area, along with vehicle storage and combined storage buildings. At its heart lies the 22,543 SF Salt Barn, a beautifully designed wood-framed structure that serves as the focal point. Today, Maybell Irrigation District, The Nature Conservancy in Colorado and JHL Constructors announce the near final completion of construction on a $6.8 million project to update the Maybell diversion and headgate on the Yampa River. 💧 This week’s milestone will highlight the first remote operation of the headgate in over 126 years, as the water users prepare for the irrigation season. For generations, the water users manually operated the headgate, which required a hike over three miles round trip and the use of special tools and equipment in the river to open the gates to the ditch. This tiresome process meant that the water was not always being used at the most opportune times for ranchers or with the most efficiency. In addition, the Maybell diversion posed challenges for both fish and recreational boat passage through that part of the river in Juniper Canyon. 🐟 Discover the widespread benefits this project brings to the community, heritage ranching, fish, recreators, and the river itself: https://lnkd.in/g4WU59aG

Nothing exemplifies this more than the impressive work of the Infrastructure Engineering Pathway and the tiny homes they are sending into Denver today to change the lives of five lucky people. We're thrilled to share that we've officially broken ground on our latest project, The Sophia Apartments! Located in Englewood, CO, this vibrant new Senior Affordable community, spanning six stories and 153,200 square feet, is designed for those aged 55 and over. With 158 one- and two-bedroom units, this development will meet the 2020 Enterprise Green Communities Criteria marking it as a community that aligns affordable housing with environmentally responsible building practices and promotes the health and well-being of its residents. We couldn't be more excited to partner with Shea Properties and Galloway & Company, Inc. on this endeavor and turn this vision into reality by the summer of 2025. The spotlight was on contractors as they explored a wide range of topics, from current market perspectives to trending cost data and various delivery methods, all the way to envisioning the future landscape of school building in Colorado.
